TEHRAN (IQNA) – One who is a medium between God and humanity should not be a human being. This is a claim raised by some of the opponents of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Muhammad (PBUH), the messenger of God

However, the fact that prophets were human beings is a point of strength.

If prophets were not humans and were, for example, angels, people would complain that messengers of God gives us orders without knowing our problems.

Also, prophets should have worldly desires and by bringing them under control serve as role models for people.

God tells the Holy Prophet (PBUH):  “Say ‘I am only a human like you, revealed to me is that your God is One God.’” (Verse 110 of Surah Al-Kahf)
