In fact, the only character who is praised universally by all outstanding human figures is Imam Sadiq (AS).
The sixth Imam’s (AS) scholarly and scientific fame came at a time when there was no name of the Sunni denominations like Hanbali, Hanafi, Shafei, and others.
Abu Hanifa, Malik and leaders of other denominations were students of Imam Sadiq (AS) directly or indirectly.
The only character in the Muslim world who would answer questions of all groups in the world was Imam Sadiq (AS). He had 4,000 outstanding students some of whom went on to become famous scholars and scientists.
Jabir ibn Hayyan was one of them. He is known as the father of chemistry and his books were translated into different European languages and taught in European universities in the Middle Ages.
Jabir said that he had learned all his scientific knowledge from Imam Sadiq (AS).
Imam Sadiq’s (AS) students save the scientific world from deviation.
Another important aspect of Imam Sadiq’s (AS) scientific prominence is that some of his views were introduced for the first time in human history.
For example, Imam Sadiq (AS) said some 1,100 years ago that air is not a simple element but has been made of several elements. This is what Western scientists have come to learn only a few centuries ago.
Imam Sadiq (AS) also for the first time introduced the idea of creation of the world from a minute portion of matter and creation of matter from particles, which is what science has only recently found about atoms.
The important point is that Imam Sadiq (AS) never was a student and did not learn lessons from any scientist. All Infallible Imams (AS) were like that. No one has been able to claim that someone asked them a question and they could not answer that question.
