TEHRAN (IQNA) – There is a very close relationship between Salah and Tawheed (monotheism).

Saying prayers

Tawheed draws us to Salah and Salah revives the spirit of Tawheed in us.

God says in Verse 14 of Surah Taha:

“Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance.”

This verse demonstrates the very close relationship that exists between Salah and monotheism.

Salah begins with Takbir (recitation of Allahu Akbar, which means God is great) and after each Rak’ah after the end of the Surah, before and after Ruku and Sajdah and after finishing Salah, it is Mustahab (recommended) to recite the Takbir.

In Ruku and Sajdah we say Subhanallah (glory to God) and in the third and fourth Raka’as, we say La Ilaha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah).
