BEIRUT (IQNA) – The deputy secretary general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement described the Yemeni forces’ recent move to capture an Israeli ship as courageous.

Yemen’s Armed Forces seized the ship during an operation in the Red Sea on Sunday in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip who are under Israel’s genocidal war.

They released a video showing their capture of the Israeli ship

Yemeni forces released the footage on Monday. It shows the forces raising Yemeni and Palestinian flags on the deck of the vessel after bringing it under their full control and redirecting it towards the Yemeni coast.

In a speech on Tuesday, Hezbollah’s deputy chief, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said the brave operation demonstrated the Muslim Ummah’s potentials.

He added that the seizure of the ship by Yemen’s Ansarullah movement is the beginning of a serious blow to the Zionist regime’s economy.

The Yemenis are determined and they are not afraid of anything, he said, adding that they have remained steadfast and shown resistance since 2015.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sheikh Qassem criticized certain Arab and Muslim countries for their inaction on the Israeli massacre of Palestinians in Gaza.

He warned the Zionist regime to stop the war on Gaza before it is forced to plead against the spread of the war.
