Int’l Quran Contest Features Recitation of Verses from Surah Al-Isra

BAGHDAD (IQNA) – The third edition of an international Quran competition dubbed “Al-Fatiha” has been launched by Iraq’s Shia Waqf Department.

The Imam Kadhim (AS) Islamic Sciences College affiliated to the department has organized the online contest.

According to the website of the college, those willing to take part in the competition are required to record their recitation of Verses 4 to 8 of Surah Al-Isra.

They should then submit the video file of their recitation to the organizing committee via the following WhatsApp addresses:

Contestants should include their first name, last name, country and university at the beginning of the video file.

Those who have won top ranks in national or international Quran competitions before cannot take part in the Al-Fatiha Quran contest.
