Dubai Int’l Quran Award Winners Honored

IQNA – The closing ceremony of the 27th edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) was held in the UAE city on Saturday evening.

DIHQA winners were awarded at a ceremony on Saturday

 

Winners of the top ranks in the competition were named and awarded at the ceremony, held at the Cultural and Scientific Association.

Mohammed Al Ammri from Bahrain bagged the top prize, according to the panel of judges.

Naji bin Sliman from Libya was the runner up, while Sheikh Tijan Ambi from Gambia came third.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, also honored Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum with the Islamic Personality of The Year award.

The award was conferred in recognition of her efforts and contributions in supporting Islamic, humanitarian, charitable and social causes.

The competition is annually organized in the holy month of Ramadan
