Al-Ahram reports that these gatherings have drawn over 216,000 individuals eager to delve into the study and recitation of the Holy Quran.

The Ministry of Awqaf in Egypt notes that the regions of Cairo, Sohag, and Giza have experienced the most significant influx of attendees.

These sessions, organized by the Ministry's Holy Quran Department in collaboration with Al-Azhar and the Union of Egyptian Qaris, focus on the recitation, interpretation, and contemplation of the Quran's verses.

In a bid to foster Quranic activities, the Ministry has launched several initiatives in recent years, added the report. These include hosting study circles led by esteemed qaris in the nation's major mosques, as well as specialized sessions for children, women, and the general populace.

Moreover, the Ministry, along with Al-Azhar, has organized national and international Quranic contests.
