‘Irreplaceable Loss’: ACECR Condoles Demise of Iran President
The incident happened in the Dizmar forest, nestled between the cities of Varzaqan and Jolfa in East Azerbaijan on Sunday afternoon. Rescue teams located the wreckage of the helicopter in the wee hours of Monday morning.
“The nation was deeply shocked and saddened by the news of the passing of Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, our dedicated and relentless president, who devoted his life to serving the people and advancing the country, along with his companions,” the ACECR said in a Monday statement.
His unwavering commitment and perseverance to the people, his efforts to address their issues, and his perseverance in service have been a beacon of inspiration for all country officials and trustees, it added.
Extending condolences to the Iranian nation, government and leader, the academic center pray to “Almighty God for these cherished martyrs to be granted high ranks.”

The Iranian cabinet announced on Monday that details about the funeral ceremony will be announced later.
