The Saudi official offered condolences on the martyrdom of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and their companions in a recent helicopter crash and wished the Iranian nation and government health and success.
He also referred to the upcoming Hajj season and said his country has taken all the necessary measures for the implementation of Hajj and the return of the pilgrims to their country in safety and health.
The Iranian envoy, for his part, thanked Saudi Arabia for sending a delegation and offering condolences over the phone on the loss of the Iranian president and tp diplomat.
Enayati also described Hajj as a manifestation of Muslim unity and stressed coordination and cooperation between the two countries in holding the annual pilgrimage.
A total of 87,550 pilgrims from Iran will take part in this year’s Hajj rituals.
Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca that every able-bodied and financially able Muslim is obliged to undertake at least once during their lifetime.

The annual pilgrimage is regarded as one of the pillars of Islam and the largest act of mass pilgrimage in the world.
It is also a demonstration of Muslims’ unity and their submission to Allah.
