Women in War-Torn Gaza Attend Quran Memorization Circles

IQNA – The devastating war waged against the people of Gaza has not prevented women in the coastal enclave from taking part in Quranic activities.

They enthusiastically participate in Quran memorization and recitation circles organized in refugee camps and elsewhere. 

The women and mothers, many of whom have lost their husbands, children and relatives seek solace in learning the Quran.

The Israeli regime launched its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2024.

More than 37,000 Palestinians have since been killed in Gaza, most of them women and children, and nearly 84,500 others injured, according to local health authorities.

Eight months into the Israeli war on the Palestinian enclave, vast tracts of Gaza lay in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water, and medicine.
