Post-release, Abu Salmiya reported dire conditions for Palestinian prisoners, citing severe shortages of food and drink, along with instances of torture.

Abu Salmiya, who was detained following an Israeli military operation at the hospital in November, was one of 50 Palestinians released and transported to medical facilities in Deir Al-Balah and Khan Younis.

He recounted the "tragic" state of prisoners, describing it as unprecedented in Palestinian history, with significant food scarcity and physical mistreatment.

Palestinian sources say that Abu Salmiya endured brutal torture during his time in Israeli custody. Abu Salmiya and several medical staff were arrested while traveling through Salah al-Din Street.

The Israeli regime's attacks on Gaza since October last year have killed some 37,800 Palestinian people, most of them innocent children and defenseless women.

The Israeli forces also reduced most of the Palestinian homes, offices, schools and other buildings to ruins amid the inhumane blockade of food, water, power and medicine.

The International Court of Justice is currently investigating the charges levied against Tel Aviv culminating in War Crimes and Crime Against Humanity, Genocide included.
