Noting that the competition has been organized by the ministry annually since 26 years ago, he said a total of 43,686 Kuwaiti men and women have participated in the Quranic event.
From among them, 4,185 contenders have won titles and received awards in the 26 editions, he stated.
In this year’s competition, 242 men and women, including 33 people with disabilities, were awarded, Al-Wasmi said.
