The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah advised that pilgrims should prepare for their journey by ensuring they have the necessary data-x-items in their briefcase to facilitate the Umrah rites. These essentials include an ID or passport, emergency contacts, a mobile charger, a prayer booklet, a sum of money appropriate for the pilgrim’s needs, and a map of Mecca and Medina, Saudi media outlets reported on Tuesday.
Umrah, which can be performed year-round, takes place in the Grand Mosque, Islam’s most sacred site in Mecca.
