The Eram Hotel in the capital is hosting this round, which will run until Wednesday.
A total of 250 Quran activists from different parts of the province are participating in the provincial round.
They have made it to this stage after showcasing the best performance among contenders in the previous round.
They compete in the men and women sections in two age groups of 12 to 18 and above 18 years.
Quran recitation, memorization of the Quran, Adhan recitation, and recitation of supplications are the categories of the contest.
The contenders’ performance is evaluated by a panel of judges comprising 28 top Quran experts of the country.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Quran Competition is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.
It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.
The top winners of the competition will represent Iran in the international Quran competitions across the world.
