IQNA – The contenders in Saudi Arabia’s international Quran competition paid a visit to the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Medina.

The 44th edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran has been organized in Mecca and all the contestants have showcased their Quranic talents. 

As they wait for the closing ceremony, slated to be held at the Grand Mosque in Mecca on Wednesday, they made a trip to Medina to visit the Quran printing complex.

All of the 174 contenders from 123 countries took part in the program.

They toured different parts of the complex and learned about its activities related to printing and publication of Qurans and translation of the Holy Book into different languages.  

They were gifted copies of the Quran with translation at the end of the visit.

The King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran is based in the holy city of Medina. It produces about 10 million copies of the Quran every year.

It also publishes translations of the Holy Book in various languages.
