Israeli Regime Waging War on Sanctities of All Muslims: Iran’s Quranic Community
The community released a statement on Tuesday after footage released last Friday showed soldiers burning copies of the Holy Quran in a mosque in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Qatari news channel Al Jazeera said it obtained the footage from video taken by Israeli soldiers and drones that were found in Gaza. The footage showed Israeli soldiers breaking into the Bani Saleh Mosque in the northern Gaza Strip and then tearing up and burning copies of the Quran inside the mosque.
What follows is the full text of the statement:
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
"Indeed, those who oppose Allah and His Apostle will be subdued just as those who passed before them were subdued. We have certainly sent down manifest signs, and there is a humiliating punishment for the faithless.” (Al-Mujadila, verse 5)
In continuation of various crimes committed by the devils and the enemies of mankind, i.e. evil Zionists, who have already committed every imaginable hostility before the eyes of the world, their crime of desecrating the Holy Quran showed that their hostility is not limited to the issue of land.
As the Holy Quran says, they “desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths. (Surah At-Tawba, verse 32) They have come to wage a war against the sanctities and beliefs of two billion Muslims and in effect, they have started a war with God Almighty.
It is up to Muslims to rise to help God and for His word: “If you help Allah, He will help you and make your feet steady.” (Surah Muhammad, verse 7)

In this context, the Quranic community of the nation is fully ready to carry out the orders of the Islamic Revolution Leader and to make any sacrifice in defense of the Holy Quran’s sanctity and in support for the oppressed people of Gaza. The community will redouble its efforts in promoting the Quranic principles of Revolution and Islamic resistance with even greater determination.
