Quran Printing Complex Planned in Kuwait

IQNA – Ten major construction companies in Kuwait are bidding to design, build and maintain the country's Quran printing complex.

According to the daily As-Siyasiya, twelve companies had first taken part in the tender, but two were eliminated because they did not meet the required conditions.

One of the ten remaining firms will be selected based on the financial and technical criteria to implement the construction operation.

It is one of Kuwait’s main Quranic projects, according to the report.

The Quran printing complex will be built on 27,200 square meters of land and will include mosques, a printing press and administrative buildings.

The buildings will be designed with authentic Islamic architecture in mind.

The complex will use modern technologies and machinery for printing the Quran and other books in the field of Quranic sciences.

 In the first phase, the complex is planned to print 1 million copies of the Holy Book annually.
