“Honor, in all its meanings, is no clearer than the image shown by the women of Gaza,” Izzat al-Rishq wrote on a post on his X account, while attaching a photo of a group of women in Gaza, gathered to recite the Holy Quran amid the ruins of their city.
“These faithful Muslim women, worshippers whose very essence shines like pure gold in this war, are patient women, memorizers of the Quran, sisters, mothers, and wives of the fighters and martyrs,” he wrote.
“Conversely, for dishonor and lack of conscience, there is no clearer equivalent than the Zionists who dared to violate their pure honor,” he added.
The Hamas members also quoted verse 38 of Surah al-Hajj, the translation of which reads: “Allah will indeed defend those who have faith.”
