Iraqi Quranic Delegation Arrives in Iran’s Khuzestan

IQNA – A delegation of Quran activists from Iraq has arrived in Iran’s southwestern province of Khuzestan to hold Quranic programs in the province.

The delegation, which includes a number of top qaris and memorizers, entered Iran via Chazzabeh border crossing. 

They will attend joint Quranic programs with Khuzestan Province’s qaris.

Led by Sayed Sajjad Baaj, head of the Iraqi Quran Association, the delegation has travelled to Khuzestan at the invitation of the Quran, Etrat and Prayers Department of the province.

They will take part in five joint Quran recitation programs in different cities of Khuzestan.

In recent years, Iran and Iraq have developed cooperation in various Quranic fields, holding joint Quranic programs and exchanging experiences.

Quranic activities have significantly developed in Iraq since the 2003 overthrow of former dictator Saddam Hussein.
