Iran Culture Ministry’ New Deputy Emphasizes Boosting Quranic Diplomacy

IQNA – The new Quran and Etrat Deputy of Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance referred to enhancing active Quranic diplomacy as a priority.

Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Reza Arbab Soleimani took over from Shobeir Firouzi in this position last week. 

Speaking to IQNA, the cleric said elevating the status of the Quran and Etrat Deputy and strengthening active diplomacy are among his priorities.

“With this policy, we will boost our ties with all Quranic affairs spheres in the country and abroad,” he said.

He noted that the Quran is a common language in the entire Muslim world and the language of Fitrat (human nature).

Hojat-ol-Islam Arbab Soleimani said the Quran and Etrat deputy will also review the organization of Quranic events in the country, including the annual Holy Quran exhibition in order to improve them based on the conditions and requirements.

A working group will be set up as soon as possible to review the previous editions of the expo, identify the shortcomings, and try to fix them, he stated.

He stressed that grassroots institutes will play the main role in organizing the exhibition’s future editions.

The official also highlighted the resolve to develop Quranic institutes and elevate the role of people in activities in Quranic fields with the deputy to largely have a supportive role.

Enhancing an atmosphere of accord, consensus and cooperation with all Quran activists and anyone trying to promote the Quran is among other priorities of the deputy, he went on to say.  

Hojat-ol-Islam Arbab Soleimani further stressed constructive interaction and cooperation with other departments of the ministry and other government bodies.
