In a decree addressed to Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Reza Arbabsoleimani, the ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy, Salehi appointed him the head of the council.
“I hope that, with the wisdom and prudence of those organizing this Quranic event, an opportunity will be created to highlight the contributions of cultural and artistic figures and the government to the realm of the Holy Quran,” he said.
In separate decrees, the culture minister appointed Seyed Mehdi Khamoushi, Seyed Mosafa Hosseini, Mohammad Reza Heshmati, Mohammad Qomi, Mehdi Imanipour, Hadi Sadeqi, Ali Mollanouri, Hamid Mohammadi, and Morteza Aqatehrani, along with a number of other cultural, religious and Quranic figures as members of the council.
The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
