Palestine’s Steadfastness, Resistance Forced Zionist Regime to Retreat: Ayatollah Khamenei

IQNA – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution hailed the victory of the Gaza Strip against the Israeli regime, noting that the regime was forced to retreat thanks to the steadfastness of Palestine and the resistance front.

“It will be written in books that there was a mob who once killed thousands of children & women in Gaza!” Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was quoted as saying in a post on the social platform X on Thursday.

“Everyone will realize it was the patience of the people & steadfastness of Palestinian Resistance & Resistance Front that forced Zionist regime to retreat,” the Leader added.

It came following the announcement of a ceasefire deal that the Israeli regime agreed to after coming under hundreds of retaliatory operations by Palestinian resistance groups.

The Israeli regime launched its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023.

The Israeli genocide in Gaza has drawn growing international condemnation, with officials and institutions labeling the attacks and blocking of aid deliveries as a deliberate attempt to destroy a population.

 

In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
