A number of religious officials and figures and a large number of pilgrims attended the festive event.
It began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech delivered by Afdhal al-Shami, a senior member of the Astan, who congratulated the participants and the entire Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion.
He also elaborated on different aspects of the life of the third Imam (AS), highlighting his virtues, his esteemed position with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and his important role in strengthening the principles of justice and courage.
According to Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, a member of the Celebrations Committee of the Astan, the celebration included a variety of programs, such as speeches, poetry recitals, and the performance of religious sings.
