150,000 Qurans Printed in Medina Sent to Indonesia

IQNA – The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance sent 150,000 copies of the Quran to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.

The copies have been printed at the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex in Medina, Shahd al-Aan website reported. 

The Qurans were sent to Jakarta to be put on display in the exhibition ‘Jasur’ (The Bridges).

The expo will be launched in the city’s Istiqlal Mosque, the largest mosque in East Asia, on April 25.

The Saudi Embassy in Jakarta and the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs will co-host the exhibition, which will run for two weeks.

The exhibition is an opportunity to get acquainted with the identity and culture of Saudi Arabia through interactive activities and modern technological tools, according to organizers.

The presentation of the advances of the Quran Printing Complex in the field of printing new and diverse Qurans and translation of the Quran into different languages will be part of the exhibition, and in this section the most prominent tools and technologies developed in the printing of the Quran will be displayed.

Established in 1984, the complex produces approximately 10 million copies of the Quran annually, including translations in numerous languages such as English, Indonesian, Russian, Japanese, Persian, Urdu, Bengali, and Korean.
