IQNA – The Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq, gifted Eid al-Ghadir flags to various religious, cultural and service-providing institutions in Iraq and several other countries.

A ceremony was held at the Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine in Najaf, Iraq, during which the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine gifted Eid al-Ghadir flags to various religious, cultural and service-providing institutions in Iraq and several other countries.

 

They were presented to the institutions in a ceremony as the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Ghadir approaches, the website of the Astan reported.

The Astan also plans to organize various religious, cultural and other programs in the coming days to mark the auspicious occasion.

The event of Ghadir, or Eid al-Ghadir is celebrated by Shia Muslims around the world every year.

It is among important feasts and happy holidays of Shia Muslims held on the 18th day of Dhul Hijjah in the lunar Hijri calendar, which falls on Saturday, June 14, this year.
