The delegation, which traveled to different cities, included those serving in various parts of the holy shrine’s Astan (custodianship), such as the religious affairs, cultural, media and public relations departments.

The flags are to be hoisted simultaneously with the raising of the Ghadir flag in the courtyard of Imam Ali (AS) mausoleum in Najaf to mark the beginning of the activities of the 14th International Ghadir Week.

Karrar Shakir, an official with the Astan, said the gifting of the flags was in line with the extensive plan of the Astan to commemorate the important occasion of Eid al-Ghadir.

The Astan of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine organizes the International Ghadir Week every year.

It includes various programs and activities that signify the love and devotion to Imam Ali (AS), the Commander of the Faithful.

This year, during the 14th edition of the International Ghadir Week, new programs will be implemented for the first time inside and outside Iraq.
