Iran Quranic Community Raps US President’s Comments against Ayatollah Khamenei
In a statement issued on Monday, Iran’s Quranic community slammed US President Donald Trump for violating international norms and disrespecting the beliefs of 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide.
The statement frames the insulting comments as part of a broader historical struggle against oppression, citing verses from the Holy Quran.
“This audacious move stems from arrogance, ignorance, and the strategic failures of global arrogance and Zionism”" the statement said. “It is a desperate attempt to weaken the unity of the Islamic Ummah and undermine its spiritual and political foundations.”
The statement invokes Quranic warnings against those who oppose divine guidance, referencing verses from Surah Al-Imran (3:21) and Surah Al-A’raf (7:150), which recount the defiance faced by prophets such as Moses (AS).
“This is not just an insult to our religious authority but an attack on the collective identity of the Muslim world,” the statement continues. “It mirrors the same oppressive tactics used by tyrants throughout history.”
The Iranian Quranic community called on Islamic scholars, international organizations like the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and Muslim-majority nations to condemn the affront and mobilize political, legal, and media efforts in defense of Islamic values.
“The voice of our scholars and thinkers must be one of wisdom and courage,” the statement urges, citing Surah Ash-Shu’ara (26:227): “And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.”
This verse promises the victory of truth over falsehood and the failure of the oppressors, it says.
“Relying on this divine promise and inspired by its glorious history, the Islamic Ummah will once again prove that it will not surrender to the conspiracies of its enemies, but will continue the path of resistance and awakening with dignity and authority.”
The statement concludes with a vow to resist any aggression, declaring readiness to “mobilize all resources, both in Iran and globally, to confront and defeat these malicious conspirators.”
In his customary vile language, the US president on Friday launched a tirade of abuse at Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, claiming that he had prevented the Israeli regime and the American armed forces from assassinating him.
