Mysticism and Sufism have long been seen as key elements of Iran’s cultural heritage, influencing literature, art, philosophy, and social life. The conference will explore their historical and contemporary roles through interdisciplinary perspectives.
Discussion topics include the interaction between Sufism and Shi’ism, the reflection of mysticism in Persian and indigenous languages, its role in Iranian popular culture, and the influence of mystical thought on art and national identity.
