‘Family, Resistance and Mysticism’ Expo Held in Turkey

IQNA – As a continuation of the special programs of the “Iran-Turkey Cultural Year 2025”, the “Family, Resistance and Mysticism” exhibition was organized in Trabzon, Turkey.

It was launched with the aim of strengthening cultural diplomacy and introducing the depth and diversity of Iranian art to the Turkish people, according to the public relations department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO). 

The cultural event was opened on November 4 with the efforts of the Iranian Cultural Center in Turkey and in cooperation with the Consulate General of Iran in Trabzon and the Municipality of Trabzon in one of the most important cultural centers of this city, called the “Ehsan Humamzadeh Cultural Center”.

The opening ceremony was widely welcomed by local officials and a large crowd of people interested in Iranian culture and art.

At the opening ceremony, Ahmed Metin Genç, Mayor of Trabzon; Naser Mohabbati, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Trabzon; Adnan Taç, Head of the Trabzon Art House; Erkut Chalabi, head of the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, several mayors of the Trabzon city regions, and a group of cultural activists, writers, and artists were present.

Focusing on various topics, this exhibition presented a comprehensive picture of the cultural, artistic, social, and political dimensions of contemporary Iranian art.

The exhibition “Navaye Qalam va Kalam” (Mowlana) consisting of the works of 14 Iranian calligraphers with 35 works featuring the poems of Rumi, the exhibition “Mehraban Family” (Memories of Nostalgia) consisting of 50 works by the Iranian painter, Ali Miri, which evokes the memories and lives of the Iranian people in the past decades, the exhibition “Faryad Caricature” (Gaza) consisting of 40 digital caricature works by the artist Masoud Shojaei Tabatabaei, showcasing the genocide and infanticide of the Zionist regime in Gaza, and the exhibition “Scent of Love and Martyrdom” displaying 24 works by Mansoureh Alikhani, an artist who was martyred in the Zionist regime's attack and aggression on Iran in the 12-Day War, have been among other programs of the “Iran-Turkey Cultural Year 2025”.
