Ayatollah Sistani’s Brother Passes Away

IQNA – A brother of Iraq’s top Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani died after a long illness.

According to Iraq’s news agency, Ayatollah Seyed Hadi Sistani passed away on Friday.

He was among top scholars of the Islamic seminary who spent many years of his life in spreading Islamic teachings and serving the school of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

He had recently been hospitalized in Iraq and died after a long illness, according to news sources.

The dates of his funeral and memorial services for the late scholar have not been announced yet.
