The book “Kanz al-Maram fi Amal Shahr al-Siyam” have pointed to some of the recommended deeds for these days.
According to narrations, nights and days of Fridays are superior to Fridays of other months.
Imam Baqir (AS), the fifth Shia Imam, used to go to the mosque earlier on Fridays of Ramadan, saying, “The superiority of Ramadan’s Fridays to Fridays of other months is like the superiority of Ramadan to other months.”
He also described this superiority to the superiority of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) compared to other prophets.
Best of deed on Ramadan’s Fridays
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has been quoted as recommending Muslims to recite Salawat to Ahl al-Bayt on Fridays of Ramadan.
Acts such as Quran recitation, Ghusl, etc. which have been recommended for Fridays have increased thawab on Fridays of Ramadan.
According to Allameh Majlesi, Imam Sajjad (AS) used to offer sermons on Fridays of Ramadan to the people of Medina.
In one of the sermons, he warned people against forgetting Allah and death. “Death is closer to you than anything else,” he said, urging people to think about the moment that they are put inside their graves.
Referring to questions that will be asked from the dead by angels, Imam Sajjad said: “The first thing that they will ask is about God that you worshiped, next they will ask of the prophet sent to you, the religion that you followed, the book that you read, the Imam that you liked and followed, your invaluable lifetime, and your wealth.”
He called on people to prepare themselves for these questions by taking care of their deeds in this world.
