Al-Azhar Students Quran Contest Slated for Mid-February

IQNA – The Quran competition for students of Egypt’s Al-Azhar University will be held next month.

Al-Azhar University President Salama Daoud said registration for the Quranic event has begun and will run until February 6. 

The contest will be organized from February 15 to 20, he added, el-Balad reported.

He the competition is for male and female students from Al-Azhar faculties in Cairo and different regions of Egypt, with valuable prizes awarded to the top performers.

He added that, at the end of the contest, the first-place winner will receive 100,000 Egyptian pounds, the second-place winner will receive 75,000 Egyptian pounds, and the third-place winner will be awarded 50,000 Egyptian pounds.

The Quranic event is a golden opportunity for both male and female students to showcase their talents in memorizing the Quran and to win valuable cash prizes.

Encouraging students to excel in Quran memorization and strengthening religious and spiritual values among them are among objectives of the competition.
