Countdown Begins for 2025 Iran Int’l Quran Competition Finals

IQNA – The final stage of Iran’s 41st International Holy Quran Competition will official kick off in a ceremony in Mashhad Sunday evening.

According to the Quranic Affairs Center of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affair Ogranization, the ceremony will be held tomorrow from 6:30 PM to 9 PM at the Quds Hall of the holy mausoleum of Imam Reza (AS). 

On Sunday morning, an orientation session is going to take place for the members of the panel of judges.

The contenders will start vying for the top prizes on Monday, with the competitions in the women section held in the morning sessions and those for men in the evenings.

There are a number of programs planned for the participants on the sidelines of the contest.

They include visits to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and its sacred sites as well as well as meeting with the custodian of the sacred mausoleum.

The closing ceremony, where top winners are going to be named and awarded, will be held on Friday.

The International Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran is annually organized by the country’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.

It aims to promote the Quranic culture and values among Muslims and showcase the talents of Quran reciters and memorizers.
