Islamic Revolution Quranic Convoy to Hold Programs in All Province of Iran

IQNA – The Islamic Revolution Quranic convoy will be dispatched to all provinces to organize Quranic programs this year, an official said.

The Islamic Revolution Quranic convoy travels to different parts of Iran to hold Quranic programs during the Ten-Day Fajr celebrations marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’ victory.

 

Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Raqizadeh, head of the Quranic Committee of the Islamic Revolution Commemoration Headquarters, made the remark in a press conference in Tehran on Monday, adding that in previous years, the convoy held programs in a number of province but this year all provinces of the country will benefit from the Quranic events.

Efforts have been made to bring well-known Quranic figures and national personalities, who might rarely or never visit these cities and villages at other times of the year, to participate and present a variety of Quranic programs, he noted.

The cleric also said that an exhibition titled “Quran, Imam, Ummah, and the Islamic Revolution” is being held in Tehran during the Ten-day Fajr (dawn) celebrations, featuring 42 photo panels designed from key events of the last 14 significant occurrences.

The exhibition highlights verses related to revolution’s events, presented in various languages, he added.

The Islamic Revolution Quranic convoy comprises Iranian Quranic figures, qaris, memorizers and activists.

They travel to cities in different provinces across the country to hold Quranic programs during celebrations marking the anniversary of the 1979 victory of the Islamic Revolution.

In recent years, thousands of Quranic circles and recitation programs have been organized by the convoy.

Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.

The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran (February 1 this year) marked the beginning of the Ten-Day Fajr, which culminates with rallies on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.
