In his message, posted on X, Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Shahriari urged Muslims to focus on their commonalities and promote unity and proximity among different sects.

Ramadan is an opportunity to not only connect with the divine through fasting, prayer, and supplication, but also to enjoy the blessings from the heavenly table, he wrote.

“Additionally, it serves as a time to emphasize our religious commonalities, strengthen the bonds of unity and proximity, and reinforce the bridge of understanding among Islamic sects,” he added.

Ramadan is the ninth and most sacred month of the Islamic calendar, in which Muslims commemorate the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
